Valencia Spanish Summer Camp

Our aim is to encourage students to learn Spanish through fun and creative activities that allow them to develop their personal communication skills.

For this reason, we work in multicultural groups that maximise the connection between national and international students and in this way also strengthen their bonds.

PROGRAM OF ACTIVITIES

The daily program is designed so that students can practice as many sports as possible and participate in a varied list of workshops and recreational activities, always focused on the different age groups.

The sports, workshops and activities that take place at the Camp are designed to make immersion in the language enjoyable and natural.

ORIENTATIVE PLANNING (excursions may vary)

SPANISH CLASSES

We always take into account the time of year and the age of the students… it’s a summer camp and the aim is to have fun! Both the content and materials of the summer language courses and the teaching methodology aim to achieve the perfect balance of fun and rigour so that our young learners get the most out of their Spanish course.

This is the only time of the day when the Spanish students will be separated from the foreign students, and they will be reunited at the end of the classes.

The Spanish lessons in the Valencia Camp will take place:

Mornings, Monday to Friday.
With 4 lessons of 45 minutes per day.
With a maximum of 15 students per class, an average of 8.

At the end of the program and once the course is completed, students will receive a certificate together with a progress report.

QUALITY TEACHING:

Our teaching team is made up of qualified native Spanish speaking teachers. With an average of 8 years’ experience teaching languages at our camps, our teachers’ motivation ensures that our young learners have fun while learning a language.

We want to help all our students to develop their ability to speak and understand Spanish. Our innovative teaching methodology provides personalised learning that combines lessons inside and outside the classroom, so that the student is the protagonist and not the teacher, as is the case with traditional teaching.

INNOVATIVE TEACHING METHODOLOGY

Our proven teaching methodology is based on learning through projects and actions, that is, in a practical way. A practical method that makes students gain confidence and enjoy learning languages while working on real-life projects.

Students will work in teams, make proposals and come up with ideas about their project, evaluate solutions, assign tasks to each member, decide on the means by which they will present the project (video, photos, posters, presentation, etc.), select the necessary materials and manage the time needed to carry it out. In the meantime, they will learn and improve their leadership skills, teamwork, communication, emotional intelligence and increase their self-confidence.

MATERIALS

The didactic material is focused and designed for each of the age groups and levels.
This material will be given to the student on the first day of class and will be complemented with other support materials to facilitate comprehension.

LANGUAGE LEVEL DIVISION

The student’s level will be determined by a test on the first day of class. Students will be placed according to their age and the results of the test. The language courses will be graded according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, divided into these 6 levels.

CERTIFICATE

At the end of the course, each student will receive a detailed certificate and a personalised evaluation of the camp.

MAIN ACTIVITIES

Valencia offers a privileged environment for the practice of water sports. That’s why our camp offers the possibility for our students to take sailing lessons, a very attractive sport that will develop their skills!

In addition, all students will be able to participate in a varied list of workshops and recreational activities, always focused on the different age groups.

RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES

TRIPS

Students will enjoy at least one full-day trip from Valencia and two half-day trips per fortnight.

We organise these excursions so that our students, both foreign and Spanish, can get to know the wide variety of historical and cultural attractions that the region of Valencia has to offer.

OPTIONAL SPORTS AS A COMPLEMENT TO LANGUAGE COURSES

One of the best times to start or continue with a sport in a more especialised way is the summer. Therefore we offer an «optional» summer sport in Valencia which the student can do in addition to the other activities already planned, at an additional cost.
